I saw an episode of Day Off sometime last week and it featured a boyish girl who works in a wall climbing center. Her physique was mildly leaning to the masculine side and I’m guessing that some men were a little intimidated by that. Of course, she still is a girl at heart.

One activity that the hosts made her try which she really enjoyed was taking a crash course on pole dancing. I’m not sure where such classes are held here in the Philippines, but it’s one of the things that I would really like to experience for myself. Without the sexy lingerie for now. :P

Everybody seems to be really excited about Twilight and the whole vampire-human story. I’ve always wondered who the hell Edward Cullen was. I thought he was a new singer or something. :P I’ve been bitten by the bug, actually, having read all four books within a week. Adik. Haha. I think I should be rereading it, though. I can only remember bits and fragments now, probably because I was all too eager to finish it before the movie screening. :P

My telecom provider seems to be having problems these days. Well, not really that often since it only happens once in a while. But when it does, it really sucks. I can’t stand it when I lose my cell phone signal. Sometimes, I have it but I couldn’t send any messages. Maybe I should get cell phone amplifiers.

A lot of my peers are now married with children. Those who are still single have managed to become very independent people, also living on their own. I, on the other hand, live with my siblings. Sometimes, I wish that having my own condo unit was part of my bachelorette dreams early on. Maybe by now, I’d have one. Or at least a two-bedroom apartment where I live completely on my own terms. It’s a beautiful thought, if only I knew how to handle the manly stuff like drilling the walls with air tools or fixing a leak. :P

is what I want for Christmas. Seriously. I have always been fascinated with the scent of the “pasalubongs” that relatives bring home. Does the air really smell sweeter there? It may be a stupid question for some, but I really wonder about that. Hehe. I’ve also associated the country with Mickey Mouse and Disney vacations and seeing it for myself would be a childhood dream come true. They say a day is not enough to tour the whole place. Is it true? Hmmm, maybe it’s about time to get myself a U.S. visa. :P

Haha, I can’t wait! I got to have enough moolah for Christmas gifts. Time is running out for me and I barely have enough time to go around. Malls are getting more crowded by the minute, it isn’t the most conducive place to just hang around anymore. It’s so full! Good luck during lunch time. The queues are something else! Good thing I don’t have that many godchildren, at least those that I would see anyway. Hehe. :D

I can’t believe that it’s my fifth year in my current workplace. Time flies so fast. Next week, I’ll be attending service awards wherein I have to be all dressed up and made up. Ugh. I did a little bit of shopping last weekend and I was able to buy a simple short dress from one of the stores. A long gown would be more formal, but I want something I could still wear on another occasion. I’m just disappointed that the timing of the event is days apart from my other personal celebrations that I’m not even sure that the best diet pills can help me now. Sigh.

If I had my way, I’d get married by 2010. I am excited at the mere thought of it, but not so much with the expenses that go along with it. I want it as simple as possible, but without the whole thing looking cheap. I was browsing a website which covers all aspects of a Filipino wedding (e.g. suppliers, venues, giveaways, etc.), and I find it so easy to get lost in all the stuff that one has to do and take care of.

And for this, I sometimes wish that Las Vegas wasn’t too far away. Having Elvis as a witness would be kinda cool and staying in a hotel Las Vegas wouldn’t be so bad either. :)

Some of my friends have already posted their Christmas wishlist and I haven’t. While they would dream about DSLRS, ipods, and the latest gadgets, what I’m hoping to receive are things which I can actually use. I could already name a few just by looking at the stuff that I have/and don’t have.

1. A box where I can put all my lomo cameras/films/cds.

2. Accessories. I don’t have an eye for pretty things. :(

3. Flip flops. I only have two and both are kinda worn out already.

4. Case for my cellphone. The really good ones are too expensive for me.

5. Make-up. I don’t invest in these much so I’d rather have other people buy it for me. Hehe.

Well, that’s about it! :)

Papa celebrated his birthday last week. He was in another country that day, which gave me a few more days of deciding what to give him. Well, it didn’t help much. I remain clueless. A no-brainer would be the usual shirts, but I want it to be different this time. Sports gifts, perhaps? Before he went abroad, he would usually spend the afternoons (and even weekends) on the golf course. Well, I couldn’t afford the golf clubs, but I guess buying new gloves wouldn’t be so bad. :P
