wedding of the year

I still couldn’t get over the fact that Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo have already tied the knot the other day. I find it soooo cool that they were able to keep the big event a secret, in their world where juicy gossip rules and travels very fast. I like their motif, their choices for the invitation, and how it seemed like one amazing treasure hunt for all the guests. It seemed like only yesterday when they had their engagement rings, and now they’re off to formally start their family together. Hay, Ryan. You broke my heart. :(

oh, recession!

Times are hard these days, although I don’t really feel it on a personal level at the moment.  I am just glad that I’m not in the semiconductor/manufacturing industry (or even IT!), otherwise, I’d probably be panicking all over the place.

These are the instances wherein a company takes the opportunity to weed through the HR files and check which ones are worth keeping and which ones are not.  Tough.  In this vein, some corporations want to take a definite hold on their key employees.

I discovered that one of the ways whereby companies protect themselves from any untoward circumstances that could happen is the purchase of key person insurance.  Key person refers to anyone who is crucial to the business operation.  I’m thinking that those in the know with regard to the financial side would be the priority.  Very interesting, really.

praying for sunshine

Summer isn’t supposed to be over yet. Why the hell has it been raining?  I’m ranting because I’m supposed to go on a trip tomorrow and a great weather is necessary for me to enjoy.  Well, actually, I’m more concerned because I’ll be riding on a small plane and I always freak out whenever there’s turbulence.  I get extremely nervous when landing too.  Wah!

For some reason, I’m not too overly excited about this trip. I’ll probably feel it come boarding time. :)

i want…

… a cat.  I am so random. Haha. When I was a kid (errr, actually was in high school already :p), I used to take care of stray cats and even bring them inside the house plus have my picture taken with them. Lol. I don’t know what got into me, but yeah, I have my old pictures to prove it. Hehe.

Anyway, I saw some cat supplies in Tiendesitas and I remembered the cat I saw in Boracay a few weeks ago.  I’m really not familiar with the kinds of cats, all I know was that it was really fluffy and cute. I’m not sure though if they’re easier to manage as compared to dogs. :P

Earth Day

As you know, yesterday was a celebration of Earth Day and a number of environment-related activities were held all over the world. Last night, I already saw a tv plug which invited young, beautiful, smart females from the Philippines, one of which will have the opportunity to represent the country to the Miss Earth pageant.

I want to contribute too, but if I were to choose, I’d take the chance, hit two birds with one stone, and travel outside the country.  I would like to explore nations outside Asia, and I’m particularly interested in the Machu Picchu travel that I discovered online.  Well, I can dream, can’t I? :P

fit and right

I am in constant search of best fat burners that will help me lose the excess weight that I have.  Yes, I have them and it frustrates me.  I hate to admit it, but it’s also one of the reasons why I didn’t go to an out-of-town trip. You bet I regretted it after.  Oh well…

A couple more days to go and I’m about to go on a trip again.  It will probably be too late to start a fitness regimen all over again but who knows, right? :P
