My sister is having the time of her life in Aussie, where she works for an IT consultancy firm. Her course in college was not in any way related to computers, but fate led her to that career path. Thinking about my measly salary and how I can barely afford the things that I would have liked makes me want to click on the IT job search button to explore other options. Money is plenty in that industry, no doubt. I wonder, is it way too late for me to switch jobs?
The holiday mood was ruined by a very rude texter who sent me an offensive message yesterday. Yup, he had to do it on Christmas. Apparently, he knows my name (although it was misspelled). I’m guessing that he got my number from somebody I know, somebody who’s in my contacts list at least. I don’t give my number to just about anyone.
Sigh. I just hope that people would ask my permission first before giving my number out. I didn’t bother replying to that message, but I want to have it traced. As to how, I have no idea.
The last time I went to Cebu was three years ago, and back then the Edge Coaster at the Crown Regency Hotel was not yet in place. I discovered this new “ride” as I was watching a travel show the other night. Looks interesting. One can also skywalk too, which is I think the first of its kind in the Philippines. I really wish that those are safe with tried-and-tested performance parts. I surely want to live after that. :P
Oh my, this is it! I’ve just attended two X-mas parties and will be going to at least two more celebrations next week. I’m feeling the extra fat in my arms. Wah! I just keep telling myself that if there’s a season where it would be perfectly okay to be chubby, it’s the upcoming holidays hands down. And to think I won’t be going to a few reasons when I should. I need two sessions of mesotherapy.. or at least a bottle of Lipovox. Haha. :P
I think I have allergic rhinitis. I usually wake up at around 4 in the morning, only to sneeze a few times before going back to sleep. My nose automatically twitches at the presence of dust and “letting it go” is a must. I’m actually thankful that we had changed the sofa to leather at our house. It was much easier to clean. Nevertheless, I think it would be wise to have some Ladybug steam cleaners around.
We just had our Christmas party last night with a Chinese-inspired theme. I had a hard time looking for a cheongsam (probably because I just didn’t know where to look) so I settled for a dress with a Chinese-looking collar. I felt comfortable because I didn’t look so lost and I didn’t stick out like a sore thumb. Most importantly, at least I get to use it again, right? I wonder what’s in store for next year. In my five years in the company, we’ve had a nautical theme, 80’s, 50’s, and I can’t remember the other one. Haha. I would like to be a hippie someday, with flowers in my hair. :P
