tip no. 59: watch what you eat :)

If one doesn’t have the discipline of exercising and going to the gym, then one can only watch what she eats.  Depriving oneself is not an option, it’s just a matter of choosing what food to take and in what proportions.  I’ve recently browsed forums on effective diet pills as I have become a little bit frustrated about my unneccesary bulges.  However, I became a bit hesitant as its quite dangerous to take just about anything nowadays, especially after the “melamine in milk” scare. Who knows what those Chinese pills could do.  Of course, it applies to every drug available.  One must ask, how does Phentermine work?  What does Slenda do?  And so on and so forth.

tip no. 58: take advantage of holidays!

Tomorrow, October, 1 is the end of Ramadan and is declared a holiday! A free day in the middle of the working week? Yipee!  My friends and I are taking advantage of this and are all set in going for a road trip to Tagaytay.  I’m just not sure of the itinerary, but I know that it will involve a lot of picture-taking and foodtripping! Hehe.  I hope it won’t rain. Wah! Now I have no idea how on earth I’m going to relate industrial clamps to heartbreak so I’m leaving it as is. Hihi. :D

tip no. 57: familiarize yourself with guy stuff

Heartbreaks are opportunities for you to become Ms. Independent in a jiffy.  Condition yourself that you’re definitely on your own the minute you bade goodbye.  Realize that you’re a big, big girl now and that you’re capable of doing things that are sometimes unheard of for a girl with an obvious “kikay” streak.  Especially if you’re living alone, it is important that you already know how to take of the stuff at home. Now is the time to learn how to change a light bulb, unclog a sink, be knowledgeable about car parts, or even change a flat tire. You can do it! :)

tip no. 56: learn something new…

… and exercise your brains!  Graduating from school doesn’t mean that learning stops as well.  Let’s make use of our God-given brain cells and feed our minds with information!  Release our inner geek and take the time to know about the more intellectual stuff (i.e., finance, online trading, current events).  Think of it this way.  By the time that you’re ready to mingle with the singles, you have a lot to bring to the table.  Not only will you be nice to look at, you’d be a wonderful person to chat with too.  ;p

tip no. 55: Explore Vegas! :)

I’ve heard that the U.S. Embassy is less strict these days, and that more and more people are given the chance to visit their country. I have yet to apply for a VISA, but if ever I’ll have the opportunity, I would grab the chance and visit one of the brightest cities in the world, Las Vegas. I have always been amazed by its bright lights and sights. I’ve been reading about how to go about Vegas vacations and I’m quite excited to try their slot machines. I am shallow like that. :)

tip no. 54: Xbox 360, anyone?

I grew up with the Atari and the Nintendo Family Computer as two of my primary sources of solo entertainment.  Back then, the games were simple, probably because the platform was not complicated as well.  I used to spend hours playing PacMan and trying to save the princess by being Super Mario.  Those were the days!  Of course, things have changed, and the options have increased immensely! I can’t even track of how many games there are out there. Thanks to new gadgets like the Xbox360 and the Nintendo Wiii.  Another distraction for those broken hearts!
