Gone are those days when Photoshop was the only thing you could depend on for photo editing. There are a lot of online sites around that allows you to prettify your pictures with just a few clicks. In a span of one week, I was introduced to a number of these sites. A few weeks ago there was Picnik, and I had a lot of fun with it since the effects were so unique. Then just recently, I tried Photofunia, which enables you to put your face on billboards, posters, and even on the silver screen! (Thanks Superboi!) And earlier today, another Multiply friend shared Loonapix with me. It works the same as Photofunia, but with added features such as frames and photo trims!
Trust me, you’ll be distracted for days! Hehe. If you could only see my friends’ Multiply albums. :P
I received a text message earlier today saying that Cebu Pacific Air is once again promoting cheaper fares through its domestic seat sale from July 24 to 29, 2008. The travel period is anywhere from August 15 to November 30, 2008. If you’re nursing a broken heart, what better way to get away from it all but to travel to our beautiful islands and even abroad!
Aside from local flights, they also have cheap international fares which are available all-year round. One can go to Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Macau, for as low as Php 1,499. It still doesn’t include taxes though. Seats are rather limited so the earlier you book your flight, the better. How I wish they offer the same thing for trips to the U.S. Anyhow, get your passport ready! :)
A breakup can be seen as an opportunity to shine and be noticed. Based on personal experience (and humility aside), I am at my most beautiful right after heartbreak. Strange for some, but true. It is during these moments that I make the extra effort to eat right and exercise. Every girl needs a confidence boost, and knowing that she looks great in what she wears really helps a lot. It works for me. :)
Watch what you eat, but don’t starve yourself. Drink lots of water. Take the stairs. Stay away from red meat.Take supplements (e.g. Phentermine or those rich with L-carnitine), if you must, but keep in mind that the best results are those achieved with the right combination of diet and exercise.
.. and relocate your stuff! Try to do your own version of spring cleaning and dispose the things that you no longer need or those that you no longer want to see. If you don’t want to literally throw away those painful memories, then set them apart from the rest of your belongings and consider self storage options.
In my case, I transferred my old boxes of past relationship memories to my other home. That way, I am not prone anymore to being “emo” all of a sudden. :P
Now this tip is not recommended for everyone, especially to those who firmly believe that one shouldn’t have anything pierced other than their ears and nothing more than two. It can’t even be remotely connected to moving on, so you have the option of disregarding this so-called tip completely. I just wanted to share. :P
When I had my navel pierced last year, it wasn’t because I was in some form of emotional distress. Having it done was just something that I had personally dreamed of doing for years. I did have a friend, however, who did so during that state. I’d like to believe that having a navel ring for a body jewelry isn’t “cheap”, especially if you’re not the type who’d flaunt it at every chance you get. In my case, I just save it for the beach. :D
One of the benefits of knowing how to drive and owning your own car is the convenience of just leaving anytime you want to.Granting it’s not a work day, taking a quick road trip is good therapy. It can help you clear your mind for a while (just don’t pass by EDSA, lol) and enable you to think things through. Enjoy the lights and the sights, appreciate a digital signage or two, and buy yourself a mocha frap before you get home. :)
